The true Chirstmas Miracle this year, will be if I can make it through the next few weeks. That includes our annual trip to Spain for holidays with The Mr’s fam.
As our ‘side trip’ while in Spain this year, we plan to spend a few days in Barcelona. I’ve been avoiding going to Barcelona during any season other than Summer for years now. But alas, we’ll be there in December.
Although it won’t exactly be beach weather, I still suspect that I will fall head for over heels for the city and it’s architecture. And while I hope to sleep in every day, there is definitely something to be said about being in a city in the wee hours of the morning before it comes to life for the day.
Have you been to Barcelona? Any tips?

I have never been to Barcelona so I hope you will bring back lots of photos from your trip! Have a great time!

I’ve never been to Barcelona but I’m so intrigued by all the architecture! If that picture is any indication, you are in for a real treat. You know, like a treat on top of an annual trip to Spain (that sounds amazing in itself, btw!)

I’ve been there once…Loved it! Walk and explore everything in the Gothic Quarter, it’s (at least it was 10 years ago) one of the most beautiful and magical places I’ve ever seen. And of course Gaudi’s works, but that’s a given 🙂
Oh I hope you have a great time there.
Merry Christmas

Gaudi is definitely at the top of my list. But will now add time in the Gothic Quarters. Thanks Catarina!

I’ve never been but I bet Barcelona is probably beautiful any time of year. It’s so nice that you have this trip to look forward to after the new year 🙂

No, not to Barcelona, but I have been to Spain, Algamitas up in the mountains outside of Seville. What a gorgeous country!! You are so lucky – I wish I was traveling, but I will be home in NJ with my family this year, it is so painful living here without my little best friend. Trying to get through it…Have a safe and wonderful trip! Merry Merry Christmas!! xo

Besos!!

I have never been to Barcelona, but it’s high on my list. In fact, the next time we venture to Europe, Barcelona (and other parts of Spain) WILL be on the itinerary. Spending the holidays in Barcelona sounds dreamy. Have a wonderful time and safe travels, Santa!
