I can’t remember the last time I was this excited for a movie (ok, I can, it was the last 007 film a few months back). But seriously, every time I see a preview for The Great Gatsby, I get goosebumps. The Art Deco visual candy promising to come out of this thing…ooh can’t wait. Alas, the movie premiers at the end of this week, so I will have to wait. At least a few more days. While I’m not as excited as you are, I will say I’m looking forward to the sets the most. That sort of 1920s glam is just too perfect. I did see a set of tumblers at Crate & Barrel that I thought would be a perfect accessory, they were silver and gold. Maybe I’ll do a similar round-up if you don’t mind me copy-catting! 🙂

i am not sure i will see it in the theater, though i’d like to for all the set designs and costumes, i imagine it is going to be amazing. for some reason though, i am unsure about daisy being played by, oh, what is her name, i am drawing a blank. though, i like the choice to go with leo.
I’ll definitely skip seeing the movie, but I really love the carpet in the first photo. I’m not sure about the bed in the middle of that huge room though, something could jump on you while you slept.

I am so excited about this movie too. I’m taking my Mum when it finally arrives here, and I’m pretty sure it’s one I’m going to have to buy so I can watch it over and over. x
i love everything jazz age and art deco – the glitz, the glamour, the decor – and I too am so excited about the movie to premiere this weekend. Funny I have a draft ready to go about it for Thursday… Great ideas here (love the dancing couple).

Yes! I adore all things art deco. I too saw the trailed and immediately had visions of myself living in the 20s with my gorgeous fashion and fabulous apartment. I started reading the book but will just have to watch the movie this weekend to get my dose of art deco!
