Good morning lovelies, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Today, a look at an apartment in Madrid.
From woodwork to flooring, all were restored with attention to detail in this early twentieth century space. And although it has a railroad layout, every area seems brighter than the next.
above: With it’s angled walls, the living room wasn’t exactly the ideal room shape. But the owners have made the most of it with their furniture layout and have even managed to include a desk.
below: a Parisian flea-market find, a beautiful wood table sits above traditional tiled floor and surrounded by modern Eames chairs.
I have to say I really like the mix of modern elements with all of the classical architectural elements as a backdrop.
How do you feel about combining different design styles?

They have definitely made the most of their space! I love their style and all the light that pours in. And I don’t usually care for tiled floors but this one is awesome. Happy Monday Santa!

Yes, something the Spaniards do very well, is a beautifully patterned tile floor (or sometimes wall!)

I’m a huge fan of that entry way and the floors throughout – beautiful restoration
