Let’s start the week off with a look at the home of Bea Deza, creator of the fashion line Sister Jane. She has definitely gone the extra mile to make the space her own. In the living, for instance, she has taken an IKEA sofa, reupholstered it in leather and added velvet cushions for seating. In the kitchen, crystal chandeliers and barn wood planks live sided by side with Philippe Starck’s ghost stools.
The eccentric eclectic mix of styles all work marvelously together.

That bedroom! Those stairs! Where do they lead? Oh, it’s like something out of a child’s novel to me, for some reason. Those magical, mystery stairs and all those comfy layers of blankets. Yeah, I think I could live there. xo

This is kind of my dream house. I love the not-too-cluttered eclectic look with vintage accoutrements and clean lines, the rustic touches, swoon! That couch is amazing as is the wallpaper and floors and those mysterious stairs. Not much I would change, lovely find, Santa!

I never would have thought to reupholster an Ikea sofa. It’s actually very smart because the bones are there and you don’t pay a hefty price. Do you think that’s de Gournay wallpaper in the bedroom? The whole home is really lovely with so many beautiful touches.

What the WHAT?! That’s an IKEA sofa? Oh to have the creativity of some people

It’s fantastic! I love the eclectic mix, personality plus! I’ve always liked the idea of covering the sofa cushions in a different fabric, I’m definitely going to do that some day. x

Reupholstering Ikea sofas with leather might just be the most genius thing I have heard in a long time! Notting Hill is one of my favourite places in London and I think this place really fits with the whole vibe of the suburb. I am so intrigued by the those stairs in the bedroom!
