I am leaving you for the week with a look at a converted barn.
The 19th century structure was first converted by its owner in 1989. It was renovated once again just a few years ago with “warmth and homeliness” in mind.
The renovations included an extension and the removal of beams and ceilings from some of the existing spaces. But most materials taken from one area, were then used in another. In the bedroom, for example, wooden floor boards were used to create shutters.
The home is located in Somerset, England. But through the use of textiles and colors, the end result feels much like a French country retreat .
Happy weekend all!
