Known as the Cliff House, this house is located in the fishing village of Chowara in Kerala, India. It sits above the coast line (200 feet above to be exact) of the Arabian Sea and was purposely placed at a distance from the waterfront, so as not to interfere with the fishermen’s daily activities.
The architecture is modern (hello sloped roof!) and features minimal furnishings. Also included are a rather large pool and meditation areas. At about 15,000 sq ft / 1400 sq m, I think we can also call it spacious.
Only half of the built area in confounded by four walls. The rest was left open to allow for the flow seasonal winds and warm air. The architects were careful to do this in a way that still creates a feeling of safety from the elements (see open bath area below).

Wow! This place looks fabulous. It’s like a chic resort in an isolated island. The dining room overlooking the view is amazing, definitely a spot I would love to hang out.
