There is an impending doom here. Summer is almost over. Soon, we’ll have one last long weekend (Labor Day) and then, just like that, it’ll all be over. But, we can still enjoy some beautiful beach homes, can’t we?
Featured in the latest issue of House Beautiful, this 1960’s house is located in the town of Strathmere in southern New Jersey.
It has a fresh and cheerful feel to it. The designer, Mona Ross Berman, decided to make this Jersey Shore home stand out, by infusing it with a vibrant pallete of yellow, turquoise, orange and pink. “In a summer home you have greater license to have fun, be irreverent”, says Berman. The colors used throughout where actually inspired by the lacquered top of the dining table seen above.

Beautiful! It has that crisp Jersey-shore-house feel. I spent my summers at the jersey shore, and am going back for the first time in many years very soon!

I am loving the Tangier pillow! I am not looking forward to summer ending but I do love Fall and in Chicago it is a beautiful season. Winter…not so much! These are all great decorating ideas and I really need to start thinking about what to do in terms of changing up the decor in my condo.

What a gorgeous home, my kind of place with all that wonderful colour. I especially love the wallpaper in the bathroom. I don’t want to rub it in, but we are just at the end of our Winter, can’t wait till Spring ;D
