Recently while going through my “kid space” board on Pinterest, I noticed I have quite a few pins of black and white kid rooms. This trend takes children’s rooms which, traditionally, are often quite colorful, and presents them in black and white.
It makes the rooms edgier, but the presence of geometric shapes, and ever-so-cute accessories, keeps them sweet and child-like.
What do you think about this trend? Do you like the more adult black and white take, or do you lean more towards colorful spaces for the little ones?

Monochrome kids rooms are my FAVE! In theory. But so unrealistic in real life because all the toys are made in obnoxious colors — it’s impossible to reign it all in. But you know what? In another lifetime…dammit, I’m getting my all black and white, pinterest-worthy, Instagram-winning house!

Ha! Yes, sign me up for one of those homes too!
But you are absolutely right about the toys. This would take a lot of restraint and dedication.
