Well, the changing table is finally up and ready to go. And yes, the baby is due at the end of July and yes, the changing table is the only thing that is ‘up and ready to go’.
As I mentioned before, the idea was to sand it, repaint it, and stain the details of the dresser. Then it was just a matter of lining the drawers and stuffing stocking them with baby’s items.
The drawers are designed to be pulled out from the bottom.Β But I am still debating on whether or not to add hardware. What say you?

It looks adorable!! What a transformation. Those teeny diapers just about made my heart explode! So cute. I’d vote to add some knobs or drawer pulls, but use it for a while and see how you like the current set-up. That changing pad is adorable, too.

Great job on the changing table! And now that it’s done you can start tackling other projects. The clean look is nice but if it comes down to a matter of functionality and ease of use, you should add some pulls. The little giraffes on that changing pad are so cute!
Happy weekend Santa!

so cute! i love the way it turned out. as a mom, thinking practically here, i’d say don’t add the pulls. in fact i took the pulls off my twins dresser at one point because they thought taking out all their clothes and throwing them around was super duper fun π

looks great! I vote for no knobs, unless they help with function. I like the clean lines as-is

It’s perfect just the way it is (no knobs is my vote) – GREAT JOB!!!

Great job, they look fab! I quite like the clean, streamlined look. My mischievous twins would protest their afternoon naps when they were about 18 months old, and would spend the time emptying all their clothes out onto the floor instead. So if not adding handles makes it’s harder for little hands to access, I’d not add handles! I’m sure you’ll have a much better behaved little one π x

…and just think how now, we would give anything for someone to be enforcing “nap time” on us…

um hello gorgeous! i adore the little giraffe print you paired with it but i have to say the changing table looks a million times better! and whether or not to add hardware is such a hard decision bc it looks great now! but it could also look great with the perfect set of knobs… hmmm… i trust that you will make the right decision and in the meantime, it looks wonderful the way it is!

What a fabulous makeover! Adding hardware would definitely be a great touch, but it’s beautiful enough as is too – win win situation!

It’s beautiful! I like it a lot without any hardware. Also love the giraffe cover.
I think we have got all stuff necessary for the kid, but nothing is ‘up and ready to go’, but it makes me feel better that you are as unprepared π
