After much deliberating, I’ve decided to go with the dresser as a changing table option. It turned out that our existing desk was just too big/deep and the amount of money it would have cost to get the right baskets for storage underneath…let’s just say the dresser was the way to go.
So I headed back to the Paterson Habitat ReStore. Much to my surprise, one of the dressers I had seen a few weeks ago (one that worked in terms of style, dimension…and certainly pricing), was still there. I bought for under $35 and **am now in the process of repainting/staining it.
**and of course by me, I mean my awesome dad 🙂

Awesome choice! I’m glad your dad is undertaking the sanding and painting portion, aren’t pregnant ladies supposed to steer clear of fumes and such? I don’t know, might be an old wives tale. I can’t wait to see the outcome!

You will enjoy it now and for years to come. The dresser that I refurbished for my kids (it was used as each baby came along) is now being used by my kids in their own homes (again passed around as needed).
