Hello and Happy Friday!
When you think of Halloween, black is often a/the color that comes to mind. So, I am finishing off Halloween week (and my first week back on the blog wagon), with a look at some interiors with dark walls.
But, there is nothing to fear here. These spaces, which would otherwise be quite dark, brighten themselves up in different ways. Some are rich with natural light. Some lighten things up by adding white to contrast/balance out the dark. Said items can either be decorative (a gallery wall with white matting in the frames), or architectural (white mouldings and base boards).
…oh, and Happy Halloween!

Love this dark wall look but I feel like you need a high ceiling space with tons of light to make it not oppressive. Sadly I’m not blessed with either :-(. Some day maybe! It does look so rich! Esp love that last bedroom pic with the Sputnik-like chandelier!
