I recently came across David Rasmussen Design while perusing the Modenus website. This drum table (above) really caught my attention because of its whimsical theme.
Rasmussen takes inspiration from a wide variety of sources, like forms found in the forest or Ming Dynasty furniture, and translates them into clean and modern pieces. He then adds thoughtful details (like a shallow back on a side table to keep things from falling behind it).

Ooooo does he have pieces on exhibit at the Milwaukee Art Museum? Some of these pieces remind me of what I saw when I visited last year! The artichoke piece is awesome!
