So excited for Halloween. I should have published this post a while ago since, let’s face it, I got my Halloween decorating on quite a while ago. But alas, saved for today. Decorating for this day can be easy if you just remember to: stick with a theme (whether it be color or subject), and get creative with what you have. Here are some very easy Halloween decorating ideas.
Row 1 | I bought this wreath a few years ago. I added some fun to the wreath with Mr. Skeleton. He is a foam figure on a Popsicle stick that Junior brought home from school one year.
Row 2 | As if Target was not awesome enough, they also have $1 and $3 bins full of seasonal goodies. Using some 72″ Halloween themed garlands ($1 each), our lighting fixtures got a temporary makeover.
Row 3 | Our bookshelf is a “ghosts” only zone. Both of these light up with led lighting and only need AA batteries to do so.
Row 4 | Junior is still a toddler and so I have been putting off carving jack-o-lanterns with him. But he still gets to decorate pumpkins all on his own with pumpkin stickers and paint. He also gets to put up (and take down, and put up again) window clings. All with items from the local dollar store.
So there you have it. Easy. And for apartment living’s sake, small. I can easily pack these few things up in a box where they will wait again until next year. Of course, by then, I will probably have picked up a few more things from the Halloween clearance sale 😉
Happy Halloween all!

Well, it ended with a glass of wine with the neighbors. So yes, best Halloween – ever.
