Hello and Happy Friday!
Does your father have a cave at home? Mine does and always has. In fact, I can remember growing up in an apartment and having my dad convert the kitchen pantry into a mini office (which would also double as a dark room!- The Man of 1,000 Hobbies, that’s what I call him).
These days, his cave is in the basement. And although he is more of a tool belt kind of guy, I would just love to be able to re do his cave with a few upgrades…
1 a music lover, my dad would definitely appreciate the throw back style of this portable turntable and mp3 station | red envelope $110
2 for a time, he made his own beer (our last name being Lluberes, he came up with the very clever Llubeers name)- maybe it’s time to get back into hobby #337 with this Southern Bourbon Stout Beer Brewing Kit | uncommon goods $45
3 & 4 take a load off and get cozy dad | plaid throw, pendleton $158 | strandmon chair, ikea $279
5 …and while we’re at it, let’s refine that industrial lamp | west elm $79
6 a reminder of how thankful I am for all he does | dalloway place $20
7 see #1 | parrot speakers, bobby berk home $1600
Happy Father’s Day, to my dad and to yours.

That blanket looks so plush, and those speakers are like works of art! What a great Dad’s day round-up.

My husband’s man cave is our garage where he tinkers with his mountain bike and surfboard. But my Dad’s is his study which is very English with a big desk, leather swivel chair, plaid sofas and a big tv to watch the rugby – he loves it! x

My dad claimed one countertop in the kitchen off to the side as his office too! I kind of wish that he would put a record player there, but he gave me all of his vinyl – which I’m not complaining! He just has to come visit me when he wants to listen!

My dad’s cave consisted of a breezeway behind the garage – that’s where he had all of his tools and created many wonderful projects. In the cold months he moved to the garage. My husband’s cave is his office where he spends many an hour on his computer.

What a great idea- that way he could enjoy warmer weather without being couped up.

I feel like a dad always needs a chair to watch tv in… but my dad prefers a comfy cushion and the floor 🙂

Haha I love that your dad turned the pantry into an office!
