Temperatures have dropped considerably here in the Northeast and we even had snow at one point! I need warm thoughts. Warm thoughts of sunny weather and bright colours. I can always count on Vic of Cush & Nooks for a dose colour and I am thrilled to have her here  today with a gift guide inspired by just that.  Enjoy and happy weekend!

Hi, I’m Vic from Cush & Nooks. I have a very strong affinity to colour and pattern, and a great love of online shopping, so I was really excited when Santa (such an appropriate name for this post) asked me to compile a selection of colourful gift ideas. These are some of my favourites, but, to be honest, I could’ve kept going, there are so many gorgeous things around. Because I live in New Zealand, all my gift ideas are available, or can be shipped to NZ, and most can be shipped internationally too.

1. Lindi Kingi Swarovski Neon Pearl Bracelets – I love Lindi Kingi jewellery, and have half a dozen of her bracelets. My current favourite is my neon orange bracelet. These would make a great gift for a teenager as well.
 – beautiful coffee table books are a passion of mine, and I always have a long wish list of them. This year I thought I’d buy this book by Matt Warshaw for my surf-mad husband, it comes highly recommended.
3. Marrakesh by Design – this is what I’d like to find under the tree. It’s by Maryam Montague, an American who now lives in Marrakesh with her family, and her book is about decorating with all the colours, patterns, and magic of Morocco.
4. Tilos Beach Towel – Country Road has a fantastic range of homewares. It’s summer time in New Zealand at Christmas time, and a lot of us head to the beach and lake during the holidays, so a fabulous beach towel is always well received.
5. Wreath Wall Decals – I sell these cute wall decals by talented artist Evie Kemp in my shop, so naturally I adore them. They are fantastic quality, and can be peeled off and reapplied anywhere you like. The cluster of roses is a lovely contemporary reminder of a Christmas wreath.
6. Bistro Tall Gift Pack – This is fantastic value from Country Road, and a great gift idea, maybe for your mum or sister. This gift set contains a porcelain bowl and mug in a cool geometric pattern, a ribbed cotton tea towel, and it all comes in a cute gift box.
7. Flip Clock – My kids love these. The digital clock is easy for them to read and it looks so cute on their bedside table. I bought one for my daughter, and another for a little friend who turned eight today.
8. Flat Neon Pink Stripe Clutch – Last but by no means least, this is another from my wish list (will have to leave some subtle hints for hubby). A stunning Clare Vivier clutch in tan cowhide with a neon pink stripe – love it!

  2. I have been eyeing a Claire Vivier clutch for so long, and seeing it here must be a sign, right?? I love this round up! And I’m not even a color lover, quite the opposite! I’m a b&w girl through and through.
