Holidays, New England style. This home in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston belongs to interior designer Gregory Van Boven.Β He and his partner prepare the holiday decor details of their home, for at least a month.
They have chosen natural green wreathes and garlands along with red to compliment their elegant home. They’ve left no room untouched in the process (even Tess, the home’s puppy, gets a touch of red.)

This is so darling and festive and I love what they’ve done with the puppers

Even if you hadn’t said it was in New England, you could totally tell from the decor. That’s New England classic at its best! It’s a bit too over the top with the Christmas decorations (the wreaths in the dining room are overkill) but I love the tiny pup in a bright red ribbon!

I think I would probably sell me soul for those little lights leading up the stairs! They are absolutely gorgeous! It took me ages to spot the little pup on the bed!

I really like how they added festive touches but it doesn’t look overdone. Those lights on the stairs are perfectly charming as is that little pup on the bed π

Well, I have been known to love a dash of crimson. This home’s neutral (mostly white) color palette really helps to make the red pop. A month of prep?! I’m impressed. Way to get into the spirit of the holidays.

What a fun household to be in at Christmas! I love the bedhead in the last photo. x

This is just too much, I like that they’ve planned this for a month, I’m sure it must of been fun, but this is an overkill. Especially the dining room. I like the wreaths, but I’m gagging over at the red bulbs in the plant pot. π I would leave those out, change the table cloth into white and then I would like it. I feel sorry for the dog.
Sorry to be such a party pooper, but with my Scandinavian upbringing I just cannot cope with all this. π
