Believe it or not, today’s holiday home is actually a farm house built in 1689.
Rather than introducing the traditional red and green into their home, these homeowners have opted to adapt the seasonal decor to their existing colour palette of blues, white and grays. The result is festive all the same.

The beams – oh my! I don’t think I could stop looking at them… they’re so chunky they just draw your eyes upward

Love the roof beams!! And those beams in between the kitchen and living room. I don’t get a very Christmassy feel from this house, maybe because of the bright light coming from the windows.

I’m jumping on the beam-bandwagon here! I love them! They make the whole place look so cosy and home-y. The “Not in Service” tube sign in the kitchen cracks me up, too.

Such a gorgeous dreamy home, I would LOVE to live here! thank you for your sweet comment about my beloved little best friend, lost forever but hopefully still with me all the time. I am bereft and this is a huge life adjustment for me as I we have been together since 1998. I can’t tell you how lonely my little home is now, everywhere I look, he was here and now he’s gone. I am trying to find the strength, but its very, very difficult. xoxo

The owners have definitely made this home look cozy. I want to curl up on that blue Chesterfield and read a book. The age of this home is astounding.
