Today’s home tour is the stuff that Spring and Summer are made of. Light and airy. Fresh and comfy. It is a home located in Coruña, Spain.
The owners moved from the center of town to the outskirts to accommodate their growing family. They took up renovation projects that included closing off the ceiling in the dining room which was open to the upstairs. This meant noise traveled up to the children’s rooms, making entertaining difficult. And entertaining was key to the homeowners. They then took advantage of the added space that they gained when they closed off the dining room, and placed their master bedroom in that area.
Special care was taken to maximize light throughout the home. In the dining room, a large mirror reflects light coming in from the large windows in the living area. Going up the stairs, a glass wall allows the light to travel. And my favorite, the walls and furnishings were kept very neutral and light in the color palette department.

Maximizing the light. Homeowners after my own heart! That mirror in the dining room is just incredible, as is the view from that bedroom of all the gorgeous rooftops. I’m leaving for Spain at the end of the month, and this just made me even more excited!! xo
