I apologize in advance: over the next couple of weeks, it might be difficult for me to put together the “Get The Look” boards that I usually pair up with the @ home series. Still, I don’t see this as any reason not to post some beautiful homes for your consideration.
The homeowners of this bungalow worked along side with architects to transform the home from small sectioned rooms with small windows to match, into large open spaces with plenty of ways for natural light to come in.
The furnishings are a mix of new and old. And between the dark wood tones and the lush backdrop, this home is a magnificent retreat.

What a beautiful home! Usually I’m a big fan of white kitchens but I love the wood cabinets with the dark counter top! Also drooling over the fireplace and their bookshelves.

I just found your blog and think its great! Beautiful post today-I especially love the bookcases–they line the wall beautifully and bring great character to the room.

This home looks so inviting. I really love the fabric on the “square” armchairs and the dog.
I think it’s great you put the get the looks posts up so often, it takes some serious dedication. I was considering doing it once a week {instead of once every 3 months} along with my Kip’s Bay photos but it takes soooooooooo long to do. And I’d rather get some sleep. 🙂

You are right about that Jeanine- putting the boards together is a lot of fun, but it does take time and dedication

I love those club chairs in the living room! The oversized print makes them a definite focal point! I’m smitten over those huge sliding doors as well, they really open up the living space.

Oh, the kitchen and the big big windows, it’s almost like being outside when you’re inside. Want that!
