I have to admit, when I think of homes in the UK, I automatically think cozy cottage, wood burning fireplace and a nice warm throw for those chilly/rainy days.
But this Victorian is the complete opposite of what I would expect. The use of bright colors and (Josef Frank) prints against a bright white background makes the place cheerful and airy.

Totally agree. This is much more modern than the “cottage” look I have in my mind, but still just as beautiful! Love the colors.
These photos make me want to incorporate a LOT more color in my own home – so fun and gorgeous!
Speaking of English cottages, have you seen the move “The Holiday” with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet, where they switch houses? It’s from ’06, but I had never seen it until a few months ago, and I loved it! And, in the movie, Kate Winslet has this GORGEOUS English cottage that I just loved. The house in LA isn’t bad either! 😉 You should check it out.

I have lived in several houses here in the UK (both modern and old) and I have never seen such fantastic natural lighting! My jaw practically dropped off! I LOVE it!
Oh, all the different prints on the bed and window treatments are too cute and cheery!
After seeing the lime kitchen chair, I am now thinking of a way to incorporate lime into my home 🙂

I am in love with the matching shades + bedding = a match that I usually do not recommend.. bu here it is whimsical, fun, and oooh soo beautiful!!!
