Another Turkey post today. This time for the @ home series.
You know how sometimes you see a house from the outside and think “…what I wouldn’t give for a peek inside…” (or is that just me who thinks that way?). Well, I managed to snap a few images of this home last week while cruising the Bosphorus. And lucky for me us, the home happened to be listed online as well, so we can go ahead and take that peek inside after all!
This 150 year old mansion boasts 23 bedrooms and each room seems to be rich in gorgeous architectural details. Now I admit, the interiors are a bit on the formal side for my taste. But between the mouldings, medallions and the herringbone floors, I would be willing to overlook anything else (even the bridge above!)
On a side note: I’m afraid we’re all a little too late. The home, which was originally listed for $115,000,000 USD, is currently under contract.

Oh only $115 million? That’s too bad it’s under contract or else we could have just scooped it up 🙂

Bummed I missed out! I’ll have to be quicker next time! Now I am going to go back and stare at the beautiful floors a little bit more!

That’s beautiful, I would move in in a second! I was going to say we could each buy half but really, if you’re spending $50 million on a house, what’s another $50 million….

Oh my, those floors are divine! Well, the while place is amazing. I wonder how often that bridge comes down, hopefully not often, it looks like it would throw it into shade. I’m sure you could live with that though 🙂 x
