Since we are still in Spain for a few more days, I thought it only appropriate to have today’s @ home be in Madrid.
It is a duplex in a residential neighborhood that has been refurbished and the owners have done a great job at trying to maintain as much of the natural features as possible. In terms of decor, these avid art/photography collectors are also fearless when it comes to mixing colors, patterns and styles.
My favorite element has got to be the beautiful original flooring throughout. Hard wood in some areas, patterned tiles in others and area rugs as anchors.

I love the floor tiles! The dining area and the kitchen (?) seating nook are my favorites. We have the same light fixture above our dining room table, as the one above the kitchen seating. Believe it or not it is from IKEA 😉 Enjoy your last days in Spain!

I didn’t realize you were still in Spain! Enjoy!! I’m not usually a fan of Spanish/Italian/Greek tile that seems to be so ever-present in those kinds of homes, but I actually really like it in this one! Especially in that bathroom.

I’m loving gray and white right now, so the dining room gets my vote. And those living room chairs…Oh my – I’m smitten. Enjoy the rest of your vacation!

What I like the most is the odd nook in the dining room. Or maybe I’m odd. Lovely tiles too.
Hope your trip to Spain has gone well.
