This Gramercy Park studio is the home of design consultant Ellen O’Neil. At 450 sq ft/41.8 sq m, the space, which was once servant’s quarters, had to be carefully thought out in order to be efficient. Furniture is arranged in way that creates mini vignettes throughout. The color palette was kept light and neutral. Other factors which add to the airy feeling of this place: painted floors, high ceilings and a wall of windows that lets in the natural light.
The furniture used had to serve dual purposes. For example, the farm table does double duty as desk and dining table.

This might be a small space but it feels comfortable and spacious. There are so many things I love in this home. The sculptural art above the mantel, the toile screen and daybed, the light fixture and the striped pillow.

How love how clean and fresh everything looks. For such a small space, the rooms look so breathable, if that makes sense.
