@ home in Portage Bay, Seattle

I am taking a trip through the Pacific Northwest this week.  I thought it might be fun to take you all along by posting  based on where I am everyday.  Monday starts off in Seattle.

So, today, we’ll look at the Lobster Boat House.  This waterfront property, is a 5 level home that is approximately 2380 sq ft / 221 sq m.  It is  part of a condominium development that includes 4 detached homes and 2 houseboats.

The designers, Chadbourne + Doss Architects, tried to be as efficient as possible in terms of the use of space.  When selecting materials, they were mindful of cost and the  environment.  As you’ll see, there also seems to be a cantilever theme that unifies all of the spaces.
