A perfect day for a visit to another home. This is what I am thinking, as I sit here blogging from my friend’s home during Day 4 of our power outage. (shout out to Karin & Ryu for being so accommodating- their place is so much more inspirational than the local library.)
But I digress…
This three story home in the city of São Paulo is quite spacious at 1000 sq m / 10,800 sq ft. Architect John Armentano, who also doubled as the interior designer, worked with his clients to execute some very clear visions. The space had to be open but cozy, have expansive views of the city and limit the number of furnishings for future party guests. Check, check and check!
{above} The only white wall in the home serves as a backdrop for a contemporary piece of art and an equally contemporary fire place. {below} Armentano brings the outdoors in with a living wall.

The power came back in the middle of the night (and just in time because the novelty had worn off by last night for me).

How inconvenient to lose power for so long – and you’re still blogging! That’s determination. 😉 I love the view from this home, and the plants inside – great idea.
