It’s official: Fall has arrived. Oh I know that the calendars indicate that the new season started about 2 weeks ago. But in my mind, Fall begins on October 1st.
As such, I am now thinking of warm tones, saturated hues and staying cozy at all costs. This apartment in Stockholm, meets all requirements. The inspiration for the colours came from the pink sofa which happened to be a thrift store find.
And you thought Scandinavians only worked with white…

The color-phobist in my is freaking out. Where is all the stark white?!? I do love that bedroom, the drape on that bed comforter is to die for, so dramatic. And I do like the idea of painting the bedroom wardrobe front with chalkboard paint. I’d just put chalkboard paint anywhere. Nice round-up and good scouting on that Brooklyn print! xo

What a cozy and well lived place. Love it! I bought the Brooklyn print a while back for a friend, who of course lives in Brooklyn. And you can’t go wrong with a (faux) sheepskin.

I am one of those who thought that Scandinavians only worked with white. 😉 This family took some chances, and they paid off. The home does look cozy and collected. Nothing seems untouchable.

I totally agree that fall begins on Oct. 1. I love this home, the decor is great and white walls are my favorite.

I am a big fan of how that bed is laid out and set up. Makes me want to crawl right in and curl up with a book
