Dark wood paneling once ruled the ceilings and floors of this home. But, with the help of designer María LLadó, the owners of this home were able to convert it from a dark mountain lodge to an airy sanctuary.
Above: LLadó also designed some of the key furniture pieces, such as the living room sofa and dining benches. Textiles such as leathers, wools and linen, help complete the look of this light filled, refined retreat in the mountains.
Above: Benches are used in place of traditional seating at the dining table. They work perfectly in style and in function as they do not obstruct the view outside the window.
Above: A leather upholstered head board and mohair throw, help cozy up the master bedroom in the attic.
