Hello There! Hope you had a great weekend. The weather here was gorgeous…but we spent all two days inside with J who had quite the cold going on 🙁 I just kept telling myself “oh, who wants to be out there when I have horrible allergies anyways…”
But, here we are, another week and another beautiful home to start off with. This time, an 1820’s town home in the São Paulo neighborhood of Santa Teresa.
When artist and homeowner Bia Lessa decided to take on the fixer upper, she decided that what she wanted was to keep the facade of the old building along with salvaging some of the original wood work (ie window casings). The interior spaces, on the other hand, got a total redo which includes an open living and dining area.
I just love how the polished concrete floors reflect the light in the sun filled rooms.

Loved this cool house in my birthplace… Thanks for this post.
I was in NY this weekend for my daughter in law’s bridal shower. The city was in full bloom. And everyone was happy!
Discovered the Museum of Art and Design at Columbus Circle. Very cool. Also loved the lobby and the terrace of The Hudson hotel where I stayed. Check it out…
Besitos.

Thanks for stopping by Dot. I will have to check out that museum someday soon.
One thing is for sure about your birthplace, there is no shortage of magnificent homes!
Un abrazo!

That view from the kitchen is like total wow! And the rest of the house is pretty spectacular as well. Hope little J is feeling better now. I can’t believe the weather is cooling down again. Have a great week!

With the mountains, it really is quite a view. And yes, little J seems to be better now (just in time for the cold and rain!)

There are so many quirky things to love about this house but how they’ve decorated it is adorable. I really heart that rocking chair

I love those concrete floors (although the are hard to stand on after awhile), and are those concrete counters too? We have concrete counters and I LOVE them. The colors are just stunning. That whole kitchen is just about perfect.

My eyes actually went wide with that view from the kitchen. The light is superb in this home, and I love that the furniture is sort of low and unobtrusive, letting the light and the view take center stage. You don’t want to go outside today anyway, it’s %&^#(&!$ freezing! xo

What a beautiful place! Those are the prettiest concrete floors I’ve ever seen.
