Hello there! I’m kicking off the week with a look at the home of Jessica Waks, design editor for the Canadian interiors magazine Style at Home. The 1930’s home, located in midtown Toronto, had not seen any type of renovation work in over 60 years when she and her husband decided to buy it.
Sure, it has beautiful architectural features like high ceilings and wainscoting throughout. But, I have to admit, it’s really the decor that drew me to this one. Waks has kept to a traditional style peppered with the occasional contemporary piece here and there. The use of brass finishes throughout, ties the entire thing together beautifully.

The space has amazing details and I really like her use of color and modern splashes throughout. That mint colored den is my favorite room!

The first photo (entryway) is breathtaking .. the floor, the perfect amount of gold/brass, etc. beautiful etc. I would prob want to spent an hour starting at it all before going to the next rooms : )
