I’m actually extra excited for this weekend. With The Mr out of town, I have some catching up with friends planned including big leisurely breakfasts and some estate sale shopping. I will, of course, also make time and room for hot chocolate. Hot chocolate to me is like a warm hug every time and I actually drink the stuff well into Spring.
My favorite Mexican version with its notes of cinnamon.Β I won’t lie though, I cheat. I buy ready made tablets (shout out to Nestle’s Abuelita hot chocolate!) But, recently I’ve come across some recipes that are tempting me to take the long way to this treat.Β Just click on the image for the recipe and enjoy!

Lavender hot chocolate! Whoa! Okay, I have to investigate that. Hot chocolate always makes me feel so full, but in a delicious sort of way. Have a great weekend sans-husband and I can’t wait to see your estate sale loot! I know you’ll buy a ton of awesome stuff. You and Nina have the best luck! xoxo

And I usually go to the sales WITH Nina- so it should be a great time if nothing else.

I love how you describe hot chocolate as being like a warm hug π I remember having the most amazing Mexican hot chocolate at Rick Bayless’ restaurant in Chicago. Haven’t been able to find any as good since though.
Happy weekend Santa!

I like the chocolate more cold, I relate the hot chocolate to burnt tongue π . But I admit that after long period outdoors the hot chocolate is the best “hug” (like you said).

Hot chocolate always reminds me of snowy winter days :). I now drink lattes with chocolate powder & a little raw sugar sprinkled on top instead. The lavender hot chocolate sounds interesting – I just might have to give it a try. Have a great weekend estate sales are so much fun!
