“Fake” is such an ugly word, isn’t it? I recently sat in on an Apartment Therapy Meet Up. The topic at hand: “Knockoffs: Flattery or Theft?“
Call them what you will: fakes, knock-offs, copies, replicas. They are out there, and the truth of the matter is, we cannot always afford that original masterpiece.
Whether you are a purist or not, here are some tell tale signs on how to tell one Eames dowel molded chair from the other.
This seems to be a polarizing topic, so I am very curious to know what you think:

although i probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, i am just not one that likes fakes.

I would love to be able to always buy the real deal, but with three small kids who are the priority, I’m OK with a replica for now. When they leave home (in about 15 years time!), then I will buy only authentic 😀

It’s great to know the difference between a fake and the authentic. Thanks for sharing!
