Hello & Happy New Year!
I hate to say it, but I think that, for the first time ever, I’m a bit happy that the holidays are over. I was completely caught off guard this past holiday season and anxieties were at an all time high. I also had this feeling that the season had hijacked my blog…But I digress.
I’m starting off the year with a look at some of the (mostly) home goodies I spotted during the month of December…when I wasn’t busy panicking about the holidays that is.
1 I was originally perplexed by the Target/Neiman Marcus collaboration. I remember thinking “…and why would I come to (usually super affordable) Target for Neiman Marcus pricing??” Cut to a few weeks later when I went back and all of the NM items were now 50%! Oh you know I just had to snatch up one of those metallic Marc Jacobs pouches | Target, originally $69.99 now $34.99
2 I’m not an espresso drinker. But I think this set would work just as lovely as individual servings for flan or natillas | espresso set, moma store $65
3 Champagne as a host/hostess gift is lovely. Champagne in a limited edition tin?- even better | veuve clicquot yellow label $65
4 I really liked the transition of this cushion cover from traditional scenery in black and white on top to a contemporary water print in colour on the bottom | zara home €30
5 These notebooks from Thornback & Peel have the sweetest patterns. The same images can also be found on their tea towels, cushions and more | £12.95/set of 4 or £3.95/ea

Love that pillow. And I thought about going all out and buying a bottle of Veuve for New Year’s, but then I came to my senses and bought a $12 bottle of sweet rosé that I didn’t ever open (too sleepy). Happy New Year! I’ll join you in your relief for the festivities being over.

Happy new year! I have to admit I really enjoyed the two long holiday weekends but the weeks leading up to them were just too much…Almost bought the MJ leather pouch as well but my big obsession from that collaboration is the Men’s/Boy’s cardigan from rag & bone. When they slashed the prices I made P drive me to the nearest target stores but I couldn’t find it in my size…

Happy New Year Santa! You can breathe a sigh of relief now. I also can’t believe how quickly the items from the Target x NM collab went on sale. Good score on the MJ pouch 🙂

I felt the same way about the Target/NM collaborate prices. There was a ton of stuff left at my local Target a week before Christmas….. The pouch is very nice, I generally approve of metallics 🙂

Love all of those and Target always has great deals somewhere! Love the silver pouch and the little notebooks, I like keeping a notebook in my handbag so I can jot down important things to remember. Best wishes for a great 2013!! Thank you for your comments as well – 2012 was not a great year for me, my ‘Annus Horribilus’ as it were…so good things will be happening for all of us I’m sure!! xo

I visited Target a few times over the holidays and the first thing that always greeted me was that clutch. It is so pretty, glad you snatched one up for 50%. I will keep that espresso set in mind for a Christmas gift next year, it is so perfect.
