My weekend, which we all know starts on Fridays, would be a happy one if I somehow found myself lounging one of Kenneth Cobonpue designs.
Cobunpue says he is inspired by his native town of Cebu in the Phillipines and it’s “exuberant riches of nature”. He uses locally sourced materials and works with local artisans who have developed, and safe to say perfected, handmade techniques for the production of the pieces.
below: I actually had the chance to try out the Chiquita Stool at a trade show earlier this year. It was surprisingly comfortable as the dowels rest on a sort of box spring. As you sit, the dowels gently sink.

I’d definitely have a great time in that rope chair! It doesn’t look that comfortable but if the dowel stool is, perhaps the rope is as well? I hope you are having a great weekend!

How fab! We’re actually planning on doing our garden this Autumn, and I’ve been looking for some cool garden furniture everywhere. The red ones, although very cool might be pushing it a bit (I’m not very bold!), but I could definitely lounge on the blue ones…lovely! Hope you’ve had a great weekend. / Niki

Fabulous furniture. The chair in the 3rd photo is so cute, and looks super comfy. x

These are pretty cool. Garden furniture has a reputation of being ugly (unfortunately I own some plastic ‘beauties’) but these would look super stylish on my deck – especially the last set!
