For once, it would appear that Mother Nature got the memo. Memorial Day weekend is usually the un-official kick off to Summer around these parts (the official start is actually June 21- but tell that to those of us that have anxiously been waiting forever for Summer to come back around). And we’ve been having a bit of a heat wave.
Now, I’m not complaining…even though, given my current “state”, my body temperature is at an all time high. Still, it would be easier to enjoy the heat if there were palm trees involved. Or maybe a lake side retreat with an amazing view?

What a place! The view is very familiar to me, but that room takes all advantage of it. The Paimio chair is at home in spot like that.

That is an absolutely AMAZING view! I’m a mountains/lake kinda gal myself.
It dropped about 20 degrees here and is supposed to be overcast and wet all weekend. Not terrible for me, since I had no plans on enjoying the outdoors anyway, but pretty yucky for a Memorial Day weekend! Enjoy yours!

happy weekend! I am wishing it was 10 or 20 degrees warmer where we are. It just doesn’t feel like the beginning of summer yet. The lakehouse looks perfect.

the last really hot summer we had i was pregnant with m&l who were born at the end of august, i won’t even tell you how swollen my feet were 😉 hopefully you get a nice sunny summer for you with temps that won’t be too excessive while baby is on board. i’ll take a hot one myself.

Enjoy the warm weather. I say that as I sit here with a blanket wrapped around me, but I’m really enjoying the cooler weather we’re getting down here. It’s a great excuse to get cosy, watch a great movie and sip hot chocolates. x
