Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Mine included our baby shower yesterday. I think I am still in recovery from the excitement. But it was nice to be surrounded by friends and family celebrating the upcoming ‘Main Event’.
So, today, while I sort through onsies and bottles, I thought I’d entertain you with a look at Mjölk– the Toronto-based brand created by the homeowners of that easy breezy cottage I left you with on Friday.
The husband and wife team of John Baker and Juli Daoust are off on a beautiful mission: to combine Scandinavian and Japanese aesthetics. The shop includes everything from goat’s milk soap to larger furniture pieces, like the Alvar Aalto tea trolley above.

So exciting about your baby shower! So you must be due pretty soon, yes? I hope we get a sneak peek at the nursery when you’re all done!

Thank you Erin- due at the end of July! Let’s see how far I can get with the never ending ongoing project that is the nursery between now and then…

It’s almost time, how exciting! I hope the heat stays away for you until the baby arrives.
I like the simplicity of the Mjölk items you have shown, especially the table and bar cart.

Ooooh can’t believe it’s almost time! I’m with Erin, let’s have a peep at the nursery? Love that side table – combining both Scandinavian and Japanese design was always destined to produce something beautiful.

I’m with you Meghan, how could that combo ever go wrong?!
