I know that minimal spaces can, often times, read as cold.
But, this is the sort of environment I am desperately wishing for today. I would be lying if I didn’t say I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by the amount of things on my to do list this week. The fact that home isn’t exactly ‘tidy’ these days (who has the time to tackle the blasted magazine piles?!) seems to make matters worse.
Indeed, it would be wonderful to be in a bright and über clean space right about now. One just like the one above to clearly plan out the remaining tasks of 2012 .
How are you coping with end of the year or holiday to-dos? Any tips would be much appreciated!

Ugh, “Trying to not get overwhelmed” is my current emotional state. Every time I think I’m done with one task, either another one inevitably pops up OR I’m not finished the first one. I’ll be happy once my house (and life) gets back to the quiet, organized routine I’m used to. Sorry I don’t have any better advice!

I’m feeling overwhelmed too – Christmas totally snuck up on me!

No good advice here…just gave up and surrendered to the biscuits. I Love Christmas time, but can’t wait to go back to my quiet routine.

Biscuits, sounds like a good coping mechanism to me!

I also yearn for a minimal space like this today as well. Who has time to be tidying up this time of year. I just try to make a list and just knock off a few things a day. That way I feel like something is getting accomplished. Good luck!

Ughh, I know the feeling! I’m leaving tomorrow for a week, and haven’t even began packing.

Overwhelmed…but thankful that feeling didn’t hit until last week. And I’m taking a blogging break, which definitely gives me a few more hours to accomplish things 🙂

A hot cuppa tea is a must!! relaxation, reading, doing nothing – always helps! ;-))

So funny, my blog post today was very similar – a clean, restful space that was calling my name amidst the chaos of Christmas planning. I’m happy to say that I’ve finished shopping, but have only wrapped half the presents, and am now looking ahead to decorating for the day, and cooking – phew! x

I do love a clean, spare, and minimal space. I like everything to have its place. This space would definitely make me feel calmer. I am almost, almost done with all the holiday madness. We’re in the home stretch. I’m a list maker, to the extreme.

Ah, so calm!
My tip is: Just don’t do everything 🙂

Coping? I am totally freaking out! I have gone at left my Christmas shopping till the last minute and if I trip over the wires to the fairy lights one more time I am going to have a meltdown! Some minimalism is just what I need!

I am pushing through because I know I only have 4 days before a week-long break and I’m multitasking like crazy. I would take a clean, modern room like the one above in an instant as well these days.
