The end of the year always feels like crunch time for me. We usually go away for the holidays (more on that later) and before leaving, I need to feel like everything is in place for the start of the new year.
So, now I am on a countdown to get things in order. Found some great ideas around the web for doing just that.
My favorite way of staying sane organized, is with lists. I have a ton of notebooks that I keep on rotation. My fave are the kind that can be kept closed with an elastic, like this one from the MoMA store.
And where there are too many notebooks, there are usually too many pens (or pens that are nowhere to be found). How brilliant is this pen bandolier from Clever Hands? It can wrap around a number of notebooks to keep them together AND gives you a home for all those pens/pencils?!
Earphone cords are one of those things that can easily drive a person crazy. This nifty organizer from Acoustic Design can keep that cord in place and make it easier to transfer earphones from place to place.
I’m also excited about this diy project. Cream City Ribbon shows how get easy access to ribbons with just a few simple materials, like chopsticks!

That pen bandolier rocks! And I’m totally going to do the ribbon box, too. Thanks for sharing. Oh, and if you’re loving listmaking, be sure to stop by tomorrow — we’ve got a little freebie for the list loving types.

I’m a list maker too, I love to be organised. My 3 young daughters also like to fill up notebooks with poems, drawings, and doodles, so I never seem to have one on hand. You have inspired me to purchase a 2012 journal and keep it somewhere that little hands can’t get to it. xxx
