Yes, the title is a total pun on the Olympics. (I didn’t get to watch much over the weekend, but I did manage to record quite a bit so the excitement continues this week at our home!)
But other than the pun, this is also a look at gold/brass in the home. It makes for such an elegant accent and plays well with other popular interior colour palettes.

I love a good play on words! Very sad the Olympics are over and we have to wait another 4 years. This was truly a special few weeks, I definitely got caught up in the excitement! I love all your “gold” picks. Especially those scissors and that abstract art print at the end. I’m usually not a fan of abstract stuff but that is really beautiful! Oh, and washi tape makes everything better 🙂
But hey, we’ll have the Winter Games somewhere in between, no?

Thank goodness for DVR or I would had missed much more of the Olympics .. still have to catch up/watch. I’m eyeing the gold/clip lamp for one of my clients (who is an adult … so funny how I fins things in Land of Nod and Pottery Barn Kids for ADULTS (haha) .. esp GREAT when it’s a freakin GREAT price 🙂
this is such a great selection to showcase how beautiful gold accents can be. i think it’s such a lovely way to marry a modern look with a little eclectic vibe mixed in.

I’m not a huge gold person but I love all of those rooms and a lot of the gold accents. I take it piece by piece. 🙂 I especially love the door knob and the chandelier in the white room.

I love the gold and brass that has become really popular in interiors recently. I bought a gorgeous brass apple bell in the weekend, and I use it to get the kids to the dinner table. Functional and beautiful! x
