If you are reading this, then we are into day 6 7 of no power and have no real idea as to when it’s coming back. It was fine on day 1 and maybe even day 2 since it wasn’t so cold out. But now the temperatures have dropped and being at home is not as comfortable or cozy.
All I would like right about now, is a long hot shower, followed by some hot chocolate in a heavily knitted environment…such as the one above.
Hope your week is off to a cozy start.

Oh dear! Still no power! Well if Nina got it, maybe you will get it soon too. I was just thinking of what I would do if we had as long power outage. Most likely I would go to our cabin. There is a fireplace and a cellar to store food and there is a wood sauna.
Keep warm with clothing at least.
julia [lifeonchurchill] says
oh my goodness! do you have places to go to to take a shower and get warm?
homestilo says
Saturday involved having to shower at The Mr’s office! But we’re now at my parents’ so showers can be a bit more…private again 🙂

Oh no! Santa I’m so sorry, that is so brutal! I know Nina has power, you definitely have to crash at her place and soak up all of her hot water. You poor things. Thank you for posting even in the midst of this, and I’m crossing my fingers and toes you get power back TODAY!

Six days is a long time to be cold & miserable. I feel so guilty being here on the west coast – warm and dry. Its amazing what I for one, take for granted. I will be thinking of you and praying for your power to be returned ASAP!
Nina says
My fingers are crossed that you’ll get power back soon! One of my coworkers also hasn’t gotten her power back so she brought her kids and her cat to the office. The poor cat is hiding behind filing cabinets…Stay warm!

Oh Santa, I hope you can get warmth soon! Can you go to a hotel?? Friend with power?? its too long now – what a horrible situation, I hope and pray you get power soon!! Thinking of you – xo

I really hope you get your power back on soon or at least some heat. It’s good you have somewhere to go while you are waiting though. The weather definitely isn’t one where it’s okay to have no heat. We have it at work and I still wore my jacket inside today so I can only imagine.
Vic says
Oh no, I’m feeling for you. Despite being Spring here in NZ, it’s been pretty cold today, so I can only imagine what it’s like for you. I hope you get the power up and running again real soon! x
Theresa says
Ugh! Still no good news. Thank goodness you were able to go to your parent’s house. As you can see, we are all hoping your power gets restored soon. With everything going on, thank you for the update.
Meghan @ Wishful Thinking says
Oh gosh, that is really grim! The temperatures have suddenly plummeted here too and I can’t imagine what I would do without our central heating! Here’s hoping the power comes back on for you ASAP!
