There are certain things that go hand in hand with kicking off this season: a trip to the beach, shopping the sales and attending a barbeque party. We took care of the beach trip on Sunday (sorry, bad blogger didn’t get any pictures to share with you- this time). Yesterday, we crossed off the bbq requisite.
It was a lovely afternoon in a lovely backyard that had only recently been professionally redone. It’s enough to get a girl dreaming of space to come and keep an eye out for outdoor entertaining ideas…

I love the small patio with the polka dotted draperies! I think that light is interesting as well. It’s almost like that larger light with the customizable pieces of paper clipped to it {is it Ingo Maurer?}.
Sounds like you had a good holiday weekend. 🙂

The canopy is gorgeous and I am so jealous you got to go to the beach this wknd. I was busy taking June photos so no day at the beach for me 🙁 I also hit the outlet malls but no good deals!

If it is any consolation, I missed out on any good sales this weekend too (but there is always 4th of July and Labor Day right?)

Love the canopy! It’s so easy looking. It could be placed anywhere.
The balcony picture is too fall like, it’s not that dark in here on summer time.
