A couple of weeks ago, I saw the new X-Men movie (please don’t judge).
The movie was a bit long, and the mind does tend to wander…especially when blogging has taken over.
But, much to my delight, the story takes place in the early 1960’s. The set designers definitely had fun with furnishings and styling. By the end of the movie, I was ready to break out the martinis, lounge around in a Barcelona bed, and blog about this swanky look.
When trying to achieve this particular look, your main objectives are to summons the sleek and luxe feel of the era. Some key notes for this look:
- graphic geometric patterns
- black, white and gold
- textiles include velvet and leather

I haven’t watch the movie yet but I am drawn to the curved walls in the first image. You don’t see beautiful curve walls with gorgeous paneling very often and I also love the geometric wallpaper in the background. Love your mood board as well especially the chevron rug and the light fixture! I am been seeing this chic light fixture everywhere these days!

The board is great and the movie sounds fun. I always love interiors that are interesting and a bit out of the ordinary and there’s nothing boring about the decor here 🙂
