The Gruben Station first began operations in 1904. Surrounded by lakes and forests, it seems perfectly natural that the new function of this building is a holiday home.
The multi-level home posses plenty of charm with industrial undertones. Entry ways and windows that were added, were done so in the style of the original building. Some items from the station are still in the home, including the control panel which now houses a fireplace.
Trains still travel the rails, and if requested, will stop at the front door of the house!

I love that this was once a train station! I’ve always wanted a renovated barn…

Oh, what a wonderful home! This home gives off an industrial and rustic vibe so it’s a perfect balance between the cool and warmth! My favorite rooms are the dining room and the living room. The oversized artwork acting as a backdrop in the living room truly makes a dramatic visual statement! Love it!
