Friday has arrived. And not a moment too soon. It was a doozie of a week: playing hostess & social butterfly, blogging and even trying to build IKEA furniture all on my own!
All I want to do now, is crawl into the sofa and wait for the Olympic Opening Ceremonies. That is about all the excitement I can take for today. And, in the spirit of the games, I am leaving you for the weekend with some Olympic themed posters designed by Alan Clarke. They depict several of the events in a simple, clean and contemporary way.

Oh my god, one should never, EVER attempt to assemble IKEA furniture on their own. I learned that lesson the hard way. Never again! I love those posters, they’re so quirky and smart! I’m also beyond excited for the Olympics and can’t wait to watch them all weekend. I love diving and gymnastics. The uneven bars are my favorite thing to watch. have a good weekend!

Equestrian for sure! Although it’s not too popular with others so it doesn’t get broadcast that often. Sad face
I know what you mean. I like fencing (don’t ask) but it’s one of those 4am broadcast events.
I am with rooth and will be watching the Equestrian competitions! I am brave like you and always try to assemble IKEA furniture by myself, sometimes to no avail, sometimes it works out. Have a great weekend!
Assembling IKEA furniture takes a whole week in my world. The last thing I tried to assemble crumbled {why do they make things in paper now, anyway?}. I love the artwork but I don’t watch many sports. If I turned on the tv and gymnastics or track and field things were on I’d watch but I get bored by all the long winded filler stories they have in between. Perhaps because I’m long winded as well? 🙂
I almost made it with the shelf! Well…almost…(story to come later)
I have never attempted IKEA furniture assembly but I can only imagine. I also have friends that told me to never dissasemble it…it never goes back together and you’ll have piece(s) leftover.

Great posters, we’re all enjoying the Olympics so far. It’s the first one that my girls can really appreciate. We love to watch the rowing, as we Kiwis are really strong in that. Otherwise, I like the gymnastics, the track events, and the hockey. x
