No doubt about it, images of interiors filled with bright natural light are always pleasing. But there is something to be said about architectural/interior photography that doesn’t necessarily follow that path.
Photographer Ricardo Labougle doesn’t seem to shy away from situations where the natural light is not at it’s brightest. His images seem to have a quiet and mysterious quality to them.
Have a great weekend, enjoy these images, and I will meet you back here on Monday.

Despite all my fantasizing to the contrary, my apartment gets really terrible natural light. Half of it is in the basement, so there’s only so much we can do. I like these photos, they’re realistic and you’re right, somewhat moody and quiet. Have a great weekend!

I love the last photo, with the swimming pool. Low lit photos if done right, can look magnificent.

Oooh get me in that pool. I’d just float around and stare at the sky ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT

I think the lighting is the trickiest part of photography. In saying that, these photos are all fantastic. x

I think the lighting in all these photos is perfect even if they aren’t washed in bright sunshine.

That concrete box house is beautiful and the light is just perfect.
The first house is like an igloo.
