Raw wood is an element that can be used at home, quite literally from top to bottom and everywhere in between.
And if you’re not quite ready to add a full wall of the stuff to a room, you could always start small…

[…] I waited for the stripper to work it’s magic, I caught up on a few blogs. And Santa at Homestilo had just posted about raw wood, with a gorgeous picture of raw wood […]

I’m a fan! Although I’m not sure I’m able to use it as well as it could be used. I’m not maybe that keen on the rough raw wood, I like more smooth, polished surface.

Splinters! Haha, had to get that out of the way. That said, I really do love the look of raw wood paired with white linen and flowers, very French Provincial 🙂 That stool is great. xo

Love the raw wood look! It’s beautiful…of course, so is a nice finished wood. Haha.

I’m crazy about raw wood. I’d have very large doses if I could. And I say that as I’m taking a break from stripping my stairs so I can paint them. Hmmm…

I love it in small doses – like the large mirror or a statement coffee table as I love the texture, but too much of it is too rustic for me…

I love that raw wood mirror best! It’s size and texture is so wonderfully dramatic and I love the juxtaposition against the smooth and shiny mirror.

Since I love it so much, I am tempted to say go all out with it but if I think rationally (rare) then I think it would have a much higher impact in small doses. That beautiful little stool has totally won my heart!

Raw wood makes my heart skip a beat! In our home we have raw wood elements in … the foyer coat rack (my diy), mantle mirror, kitchen console, hallway stool, and our hardwood floor (which I would LOVE to stain chocolate brown color .. or white … can’t decide so we keep the current color, haha).

I’m definitely a fan – we have raw wood walls in our dining room, an element that we left during our remodel.

I think I could do one BIG piece like a rough hewn bookcase. Okay it’s settled. Now to find an affordable one – hah!

I think it’s gorgeous and adds beautiful texture and colour. I prefer it in smaller doses. The 3rd pic is one of all-time favs! x
