Based out of Portland, Oregon, their lighting fixtures “…represent styles and designs dating from the turn of the century through the late 1940s.” And as you can see above, their other items tend to be just as vintage inspired.

my home town! and, oh, my grandma had scissors like that she carried in her purse. she would often pull them out to cut loose strings from my clothing. i must have closed an opened them a thousand times – they were very cool. thanks for jogging a long lost lovely memory!

I love Schoolhouse Electric. I have a friend who is slowly replacing all his lights with pendants and flush mounts from them and I love to see the new ones when they are installed. I really love that striped shade above.
I feel like so many things these days are made to be thrown away so things made to last are great in my book.

I am in love with their stuff! We have one of their light fixtures in our bathroom and it looks great. The hammer and the scissors would be something MacGyver would own and he was my personal hero for a while 😉

I am in love with their lighting products. I didn’t know they started making the homeware items. Those canvas organizers are sweet.
