I am painting a striped in our dining room area. Since it is the only paint project I have been able to undertake in our home so far, I am super excited. So, I have hit up Pinterest for some inspirational images. (Oh and no, the picture above is NOT my dining room, I just liked this image because it is definitely in line with our color palette.)
I have gone with horizontal stripes, rather than vertical, for a more contemporary feel. Because we have an open dining area and not a formal dining room, I have chosen to accent only one wall with the stripes.

Stripes are wonderful and striking. I like them when subtle, like in the first image you are showing…the colour scheme is simply divine!

Ooh I love this. I’ve been dreaming of painting the wall behind my bed with wide stripes. Haven’t found the time or energy yet…but it’s still in the backburner 😉 Sigh, one day!
