A girlfriend recently moved from New York City to Switzerland. She has lucked out- the flat that she is currently living in has a nice bit of terrace space. When you live in an apartment, balconies and terraces are a great luxury. Your very own little piece of outdoor living. You can have a small bistro set up for the occasional dinner for two, some potted plants (at least that’s the set up on my balcony anyways). But sometimes the space does not allow for both, furniture AND planters. Solution: get the plants off the ground! Here are some ways to do just that.
