When time travel becomes available (and affordable of course), I am starting out with the 1920’s. Yes, it’ll be my very own Midnight in Paris. Until then, I will have to enjoy the fact that the era seems to be making it’s way back to us via an Art Deco fashion revival.
Rooted on linear symmetry and glamour, this design style was popular during the earlier part of the 20th century. It was a style which, at it’s height, influenced architecture, graphic design and of course, fashion and interior design. Think, simple lines with repetitive and clean patterns.
And with the Great Gatsby film remake being released this year, no doubt we will be seeing even more of this era. Both, in our closets and in our homes.

I for one like the straight lines and angles that come out of the Art Deco era – it provides a good balance to all the boho stuff that was so in a few years ago
