Hi everyone, Sarah Matthews here from Monaco Interiors guest posting today while Santa of homestilo is off for a few days. I am so excited to be here with you today on Santa’s lovely blog!! Thank you Santa for the opportunity to talk to your readers. Without further adieu…
I want to share a new kitchen design trend with you that I think you will love – Jonathan Adler has collaborated with Kohler again adding his signature pops of color to Kohler’s cast iron kitchen and bathroom sinks that are not only gorgeous, but, right on trend in bright colors to add dimension, pop, pizazz and fabulous to your kitchen and bath!! He has updated the old ‘Avocado Green’ and blues from the 70’s that will make your spaces look modern, fresh and updated while adding some serious color. The names are even catchy: Piccadilly Yellow, Greenwich Green, and Annapolis and Palermo Blue.
Here are some tips for adding these colorful pieces to your kitchen:
- Go all white in the kitchen except for a bright yellow, blue, green or turquoise sink and accessories in chrome or brushed nickel.
- Mix the palette with accessories, wallpaper or paint to match the sink or add complementary colors.
- Have fun with kitchen counters in Granite, Formica, Swanstone or another material to contrast or match the sink.
- Put the Piccadilly Yellow cast iron sink in the kitchen and add oil rubbed bronze knobs and faucet.
- Or put the new white Purist kitchen faucet with an Adler sink and contrasting colorful drawer pulls.
- Don’t forget your window treatments! Have fun with gorgeous fabrics, sheers or textured blinds.
- Add plenty of zing to a small bathroom with a Palermo Blue sink and wallpaper to match. Or any of the sinks with wallpaper or paint to match.
- Add wood cabinets with any of the colors and add towels and shower curtains in coordinating tones.
- Mix in textures, glass and iron or brass for contrast.
- Fabrics for curtains or blinds and towels come in so many colors, its easy to mix and match with your decor.
- Keep it simple with white and blue, white and green or white and yellow for big impact in a small space.
